I’m Evan Langley, a senior compositor based in Los Angeles.
I’ve been working in the industry for about 6 years and have had the opportunity to work at a number of visual effects companies, including Digital Domain, Method Studios, MPC, and The Mill, along with some smaller shops. My work has been featured in shows including HBO’s Game of Thrones, feature films such as Roland Emmerich’s Independence Day: Resurgence and Joseph Kosinski’s Oblivion, and advertising for Microsoft, Toyota, Nissan, Adidas, Intel, Call of Duty, and others.
In 2014, I worked closely with Maxx Burman to help found his boutique visual effects studio: Skyward VFX. During our first year we were able to work on a number of exciting projects, including cinematics for E3, a couple of films, and a number of live action video game trailers.
After working with Skyward for a year, I decided to go back to larger studios to work on film. Since then I’ve completed two feature films with Digital Domain, as well as a virtual reality piece and a number of commercials.
Currently, I’m working freelance in West LA. Please feel free to get in touch with me about any compositing work. I both work from my home office on smaller projects, as well as working in-house at large studios, and am happy to consider any piece that’s artistically interesting and technically challenging.
